-
Thank You for a Good Family and Good Friends!
-
We feel fortunate to live on the Nez Perce Reservation near most of our immediate family, together with the diverse Nez Perce community (people of many different tribes, races and faiths).
Also, our family roots on both sides extend beyond Idaho's borders to Oregon, Washington and Montana (similar to the Nez Perce aboriginal homeland, which spreads out for hundreds of miles in all directions from here).
Plus, we remember friends near and far, many gained through our travels and mutual love of horses, esp. the Appaloosa.

- De Vroomens - from Holland & Yearouts

Memories.....The DeVroomens sharing a hearty laugh with us in our living room during a visit in September 2000.
Our dear friend, Dick, passed away suddenly in July of 2002. The De Vroomen family live in Holland and are carrying on Dick's legacy - the DeVroomen international tulip business and the Sunflower Appaloosa Ranch. (Thank you, Dick, for the gift of your friendship and all your beautiful tulips over the years!)

- Ms. DeVroomen & Jon

Ms. DeVroomen is on our solid trail horse, Hotswal; Jon is on Sawaya, our 11-year old buckskin Akhal-Teke and Appaloosa cross (Nez Perce Horse Registry).

Harold Alfrey standing between Jon and "Tuts (Touched) by an Angel" (then a 2-yr. old mare) owned by Harold's wife, Kay. "Angel's" dam and sire are from our herd.
Harold is an all around "can and will-do man" (including photography) for the M-Y Ranch. Kay is a dependable "go-fer."
