These horses are on the Nez Perce Horse Registr(NPHR) for Akhal-Teke/Appaloosa crosses, which started in 1995.
See "Breeding" for more information on these horses as well as the purebred Akhal-Teke stallions owned by the Nez Perce Tribe and the foundation for this new breed (bred to combine the best characteristics of both breeds).

Since the first NPHR foal was born in 1996, over 100 foals from our herd have been registered with the Nez Perce Tribe (about 40 foals were not). So those shown here are just a sample. Some of our better NPHR horses are the mares we keep for breeding.
